Paying for Your Doula

Self Pay

At this time, private insurance plans do not allow doulas to bill them directly. Because of this, payment for doula services is due upfront.

After payment is received, I can provide you with a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider to request reimbursement, depending on your plan’s policies.

HSA Billing

If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you may be able to use those funds toward doula services. Some plans allow you to pay directly with your HSA/FSA card, while others may require you to pay upfront and submit a superbill for reimbursement.

I recommend checking with your plan administrator ahead of time so you know what documentation they need and how the payment should be processed.

Sliding-Scale

I am willing to consider sliding scale for families that do not meet medicaid threshold but need a bit of support.

I was a single mamma for many years and I understand how expensive things are these days.

I will consider reduced Doula support to make this possible.

Or at service payment option.

Washington Apple Health

I am a contracted provider with Washington Medicaid (Apple Health).

If you are covered under Apple Health, there is no out-of-pocket cost for doula care.

Please reach out and I’ll be happy to verify your coverage and confirm your benefits.
